Who? Me? A blogger? I clearly have no idea what you're talking about....
Riiight.... So unfortunately my blog fell by the way side. Ah, well. But look! I'm doin' it now!
The past months seem to have flown right by. There have been so many terrific visits, so many adventures, so many auditions, so many celebrities, so many trips.
March was the month of visits. All of their schools were doing their showcases, so all of my friends from around the country all came to New York! That also meant that my futon was occupied for a good 3 weeks, but thus is the life of an actor. It was nice to connect with the people from school- to check in with all my teachers was such a blessing.
(When Mom was here we saw Merchant of Venice with AL PACINO! Discount 4th row tickets! YES PLEASE!!)
Beauty & Essex is still great... ridiculous, but great. We just got voted the #1 hottest restaurant via Open Table, and it keeps on coming! And yes, curious minds, I'll briefly list some of the celebs I've seen...
Jessica Biel, Lady Gaga (twice), Prince, Steve Nash, Lindsay Lohan, Dina Lohan, Jessica Szhor, America Ferrera, Padma Lahkshima, Kim Kardashian, Neil Simon, Cedric the Entertainer, Kristi Alley and her Dancing with the Stars Partner, Bethany, Vicki, Ramona, Tamora from Real Housewives (there were so many more of them, but I don't watch the show), Jillian, Vienna, and Alli from the Bachelorette, Ben Mackenzie, Paul Wesley, Whitney and Audrina from the Hills,
Yup. And there are so many more I just either a) don't know who they are (I'm bad at pop culture) or b) I forget. Let's just say it's not uncommon around those parts.
(Statues in Central Park....)
Auditions are good! I'm kind of hitting them a little slower than expected, but I'm having a good time doing it. I'm taking a class with Dale Brown from Tara Rubin casting and Joel Carlton from Nicolosi and Co., and it really seems like a good class. We've only met once so far, but the class is designed to focus on your package; the material you're presenting with what you're presenting in the audition room. We'll focus on anything from your look to your song choice to your style of acting, to make sure it's all in alignment. It's a 5 weeks class, and by the end of it Dale and Joel will talk to us about which agencies we should pursue, and set up 5 free masterclasses to be used with those agencies or agencies of our choosing. Dale has worked with a lot of UCI kids, and we ended up chatting for about 15 minutes after class all about how great UCI's program is, and how he thinks our school is one of the best out here! It was great, and I look forward to next week.
I've also had a guest stay this whole month... his name is 'Flat Stanley.' Mia, Jeff's grand-daughter is reading a story in school about a boy name stanley who gets flattened. He sends himself in evelopes on adventures everywhere, so they send out their own stanleys... and I got one! I've been taking him everyone. Auditions, Taxi-cabs, Subways, Planes, getting his hair cut. He's my new buddy, I'm sad to see him go!
So there's a mini-post on my life! And yes, they will be more frequent, I promise!
(Look! Blossoms! Spring is so close!)
